Lost in translation

Image
We picked up these little gems from Thailand recently. To be honest, we don't even know what they are! The internet is full of translation faux-pars, amusing titles or literary double meanings. Many Thai food and health products tend to be very fish orientated with some concoctions that aren't to our tastes, such as squid flavour crisps. We think these might be chewing gum. As Europeans we have certain tastes and it's funny that (generally) when Europeans travel we expect everywhere else to be like us; act like us and eat the same as us. Be honest, when you've been abroad, haven't you run for the nearest McD's or Starbucks? Wonder what people from other countries think of our products, names and tastes...

Liv Design love these Pantone Coasters

Image
Liv Design's love of Pantone products continues to grow with the addition of these fantastic coasters in the studio. It's a shame to cover them in tea and coffee stains so they may be 'for display purposes only'! This set of special edition coasters come in six Pantone colours (with a descriptive name too - Pantone red is called Ketchup Red; spec that to your printer and see what he says!): Sky Blue 2728 Pumpkin 1505 Mushy Pea 376 Ketchup Red 186 Cornish Cream 1225 Raspberry Crush 7432 The studio's turning into a museum of Pantone products! Designers, eh?...
