Legendary Film Director turns his hand to packaging design

Legendary film maker David Lynch, famous for such creative masterpieces as Blue Velvet, Eraserhead and Twin Peaks, turns his hand to packaging design with iconic Champagne maker Dom Pérignon. David Lynch has been re-imagining the brand's iconic bottles to create two new Limited Edition gift sets: Dom Pérignon Vintage 2003, and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2003. David locked himself away for two days and created stories, scenery and photographs for his creative process to create a beautiful design for the luxury brand. The box is given a magical glittered look, printed on holographic foil and signed subtly. Silk ribbons on either side open the box, raising the ends like the curtains of a theatre to reveal the product. The thick metallic shields on the bottle add a touch of power and class, shimmering with mica and granite hues to bring a touch of intrigue and mystery using contrasting dark and light.

Other Limited collaborators include famous Australian designer Marc Newson who also creates a signature iconic design.

The Dom Pérignon website alone is well worth exploring for it's fantastic navigation and moody style.
