The Blitz Table Lamp

Liv Design's current fave find – the Blitz table lamp from StockpileDesigns

The lamp is made from a recovered WWII MK23 Practice Bomb casing. The cast iron bases are burnished and sealed to protect against rust and feature a cloth-wrapped cord with a vintage style plug.

According to the website "The MK23 Practice Bomb was used by the Navy during WWII for dive-bombing trials. The central shaft was fitted with a flare, so the pilots could judge their accuracy from the air. Dive-bombing was a dangerous attack, involving bombers flying nearly straight down towards their targets".

Check out StockpileDesigns website for more info and other great military related furniture.
