Smeg 1950s retro fireplace

Image
For years people have lusted over the iconic Smeg fridge. It's clean lines, retro looks, high gloss finish and energy efficiency ensure a special place in every 'designer' kitchen. Available in a myriad of glossy coloured finishes to suit your mood (and, more randomly, UK and England flag designs...) it brought colour and vibrancy to the world of plain white and brushed aluminium goods). And they've done it again, this time with a focal point for your living room with this absolutely gorgeous fireplace. Minimal, sleek, 1950s inspired, and again available in a range of colours to match your designer flat. It sounds odd but it absolutely works and sticks to exactly the same formula and principles as the iconic fridge freezer. Well, as our brand philosophy goes, everyone should 'Liv design'... Now if only they designed a car or motorbike....

Illamasqua's 'The Art of Darkness' by Propaganda

Image
London based alternative make-up brand  llamasqua continues to build upon it's rich club, film and theatre heritage with a daring and fantasy themed Autumn and Winter collection entitled 'The Art of Darkness'. llamasqua who recently celebrated their first birthday promotes the right to experiment and self-expression through the way you look. Leeds agency Propaganda created the brand identity, packaging, product brochures and promotional material with lovely photography by Tim Brett Day. As part of the brand a mythical/fantasy back-story was created filled with character stories and mythical beasts and a gothic setting. At Liv Design we think the completed campaign perfectly captures the brand, creating a tempting fantasy gothic world in which to explore, showcase and encourage the freedom and experimentation of the products. Brilliantly done.
